Access is part of patient care.

From the first page to the appointment request.

What we do

Not just a checklist. Real repairs to the patient experience.

If a patient cannot read a page, use the menu, or complete a form, access to care can stop there. We help practices work toward ADA accessibility obligations and WCAG alignment by finding barriers, fixing their causes, and checking the result.

Accessibility audits

We review the pages and tasks patients actually use, combining automated checks with keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, and form testing. You get a prioritized picture of what is blocking access.

Hands-on remediation

We fix the underlying code, templates, content, navigation, and appointment paths—not just a report of what is wrong. That includes WordPress themes and plugins or other site platforms.

Retesting & upkeep

We test repaired flows again on the live experience and help your team account for accessibility when pages, plugins, or booking tools change.

Where patients get stuck

The barriers we look for—and fix.

Every practice site is different. These are the kinds of issues that can turn a simple task into a dead end.

A keyboard gets stuck

The barrier: A patient can open the menu but cannot reach “Request appointment” without a mouse.

The fix: Test with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape; correct focus order and make focus visible.

Important text fades away

The barrier: Pale instructions on a photo make hours, costs, or next steps hard to read.

The fix: Check text and controls against WCAG contrast criteria; never use color alone to communicate errors.

A form does not explain itself

The barrier: A screen reader announces “edit field” without a label, or an error says only “Invalid input.”

The fix: Add persistent labels and specific errors connected to the fields they describe.

An image carries the whole message

The barrier: A treatment diagram or office directions have no meaningful text alternative.

The fix: Write useful alt text for informative images and put essential information in page text.

A video cannot be followed

The barrier: A doctor’s explainer includes spoken preparation instructions but no captions.

The fix: Provide accurate captions for prerecorded video with audio; consider a transcript for reference.

Booking becomes a dead end

The barrier: A scheduling embed cannot be operated by keyboard or its modal loses screen-reader focus.

The fix: Test the complete booking flow, confirmation, and error recovery; provide another clear contact path.

The framework

ADA is the obligation. WCAG is the practical map.

The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits disability discrimination. Under Title III, businesses open to the public—including healthcare practices—must provide equal access to their goods and services. The U.S. Department of Justice explains that inaccessible websites can create barriers to those services.

WCAG 2.2 offers testable guidance for content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. We use it to structure testing and remediation, while focusing on whether patients can actually complete their tasks.

The ADA does not prescribe a single technical checklist for every private practice website. WCAG is a technical standard, not a legal certification; ask qualified counsel about your specific obligations.

What meaningful testing includes

  • Keyboard navigation, visible focus, and logical reading order
  • Readable contrast, zoom, and mobile reflow
  • Labels, instructions, and recoverable form errors
  • Text alternatives for images and captions for video
  • Appointment booking, third-party embeds, and confirmations

An automated scan can find patterns. It cannot tell you whether a patient can understand a booking flow or finish a task. We test both.

WordPress & beyond

Your platform does not decide accessibility. The finished site does.

WordPress can support an accessible site, but an “accessibility-ready” theme does not make every published page accessible. Themes, plugins, page builders, custom code, and how content is entered all shape the experience.

Visual builders can introduce heading-order mistakes, unlabeled icon buttons, inaccessible carousels, or modals with poor focus handling. A form plugin may produce unclear errors; a scheduling embed may fail even when the page around it works. Updates can change behavior, so we test the rendered site—not just the editor preview.

Not on WordPress? The same questions apply to custom builds, hosted site builders, patient portals, and booking vendors. The patient experiences one connected journey.

Our approach

A clear path from finding barriers to fixing them.

We prioritize the tasks patients need to finish, not a vague promise that a scan says everything is fine.

01

Trace the patient journey

We look at finding care, choosing a location, reading intake details, contacting the office, and requesting an appointment—including mobile and third-party handoffs.

02

Find and prioritize barriers

Automated checks are paired with manual keyboard, zoom and reflow, screen-reader, and real form testing. We document where an issue appears and how it affects the task.

03

Repair what patients use

We address high-impact blockers first and correct templates, components, content, and integrations so improvements extend beyond one isolated page.

04

Retest the actual flow

We verify fixes in context and help make accessible headings, links, media, and forms part of future publishing and release reviews.
